Local Victory as New Forest Marathon Welcomes Over 2,000 Runners

There was plenty of activity across the National Park this weekend as the New Forest Marathon brought thousands of competitors and spectators to the area. Over 2,000 runners lined up to take on the course, which wound its way through the picturesque villages of Burley, Brockenhurst and Sway.
Taking top spot in the race was runner Chris Olden, who completed the course in a impressive time of two hours, 36 minutes and 25 seconds, as reported by the Daily Echo.
the event raised over £8,000 for local charities, including the remarkable Oakhaven Hospice.
