New Lyndhurst Exhibition Celebrates Forest Landscapes, Wildlife and Folklore

Lyndhurst, long considered the practical heart of the New Forest, is hosting a major new exhibition at the New Forest Heritage Centre that highlights the creative spirit of the area. Bringing together eighteen artists from across the Forest, the showcase offers visitors a wonderful chance to see how the surrounding woodland, open heathland and local traditions inspire those who live and work here.
As the Advertiser & Times reports, the display features work inspired by New Forest landscapes, wildlife and traditional folklore. Many of the participating artists are accredited by the New Forest Marque, an organisation that recognises authentic local produce, crafts and artwork created within the National Park.
For visitors spending the day in Lyndhurst, popping in to see an art exhibition provides a thoughtful pause between visiting the local shops, stopping for lunch, or setting off on one of the walking trails that begin on the edge of the village.
Lyndhurst is well served by central car parks on Main Road and New Road, both within easy walking distance of the high street. Keep an eye out for display notices around the village to catch the artwork during your visit.
